Through relationships with charities Newlife and Oxfam in the UK and Goodwill in the US Ted Baker has been able to ensure that our end-of-life garments are utilised in the best way, raising money for these amazing charities as well as diverting around 30 tonnes of waste from landfill annually.
Oxfam is an international organization, established in England in 1942 to provide training and financial aid to people in developing countries and disaster areas. Profits earned from the items they sell are invested in Oxfam's projects around the world.
Newlife Trading Ltd recycles goods from major retail brands. All profits earned from Newlife shops are donated to support the Newlife Foundation for disabled children in the UK.
Goodwill is the leading non-profit provider of job training programs in the United States and Canada, its goal is to help people find and keep good jobs. Goodwill predominantly raises money through their thrift stores.

The Sustainable Clothing Action Plan (“SCAP”) is a DEFRA sponsored action plan, organised to improve the sustainability of clothing throughout its lifecycle by bringing together industry, government and third parties. SCAP members collaborate to develop sector-wide targets along with the tools and guidance necessary to achieve them.
As a SCAP 2020 signatory, Ted Baker is challenged to reduce the amount of carbon, water and waste its products generate or consume by 15% by 2020.
As part of SCAP Ted Baker has been participating in the Metrics group since 2012. This group identifies the key industry metrics that businesses should measure and the improvement actions needed to reduce their carbon, water and waste footprints.

The CDP is a charity organisation that works with businesses to publicly disclose their greenhouse gas emissions. Ted Baker has been participating in the CDP since 2010 and its disclosure score has continued to improve. This disclosure would impact the Transparency cube.
All Ted Baker business travel within scopes 1 and 3 is CarbonNeutral®. This means that the unavoidable emissions generated by air, road and rail journeys required to visit their stores, trustees and suppliers, have been offset in full through the purchase of carbon credits from verified carbon reduction project.
